The Himalayas Kingdom of Nepal is known as a unique natural and cultural destination in the world. It is very famous for incomparable and prosperous cultural heritage. The most exhilarating titles with Nepal has been admired and praised by various renowned authorizes in recognition of her cultural richness, Viz., Living Cultural Museum, Shaingri-La, Roof of the World, Birth place of Apostle of Peace, Country of Living Goddess, City of Golden Pagodas and Parasols, Himalayan pilgrimage, Nature amphitheaters, Melting pot of Hinduism and Buddhism etc. Many philosophers tell the world about incomparable and prosperous cultural heritage of this tiny Kingdom.

The establishment of Mount Everest Foundation for sustainable Development (MEF/NEPAL) is a significant step towards achieving the goals of peace, unity, social amity, international co-operation and fraternity free from racial, ethnic linguistic or religious discrimination. The Mount Everest Foundation believes in the motto of "World is a Family."


Mount Everest Foundation/Nepal is non-political, non-sectarian non-governmental non-profit making humanitarian organization based.
MEF/Nepal is registered in District Administration Office of Kathmandu district under the Social Organization Act of His Majesty's Government of Nepal (HMG/N). The main thrust of the Foundation is one of the encouragements to the people in making them more dynamics, viable, effective and self-reliant towards socio-economic development and environment.  

The MEF aims to run directly to co-operate in partnership with related agencies promoting socio-economic development with maximum utilization of local and natural resources. It is MEF policy that the priority would be given to those programs, which address peace and Human Development from grass-root levels. The services and activities implementation of which would be directly benefit a large section of the people for their betterment.

MEF/ Nepal used to focus on the program on very long-term strategies or long term nature and high recurrent lost. This institution is involving many kinds of different program activities in the different fields of the country.

So each and every program or project will be developed according to the local people needs and demand. Each and every program will be survey in the relative field developed the feasibility study before the implementation and MEF/ Nepal will explain the working or implementing strategy in each program and project according to their nature.
